The JP Band consists of two teenage bands that formed to complement one another’s musical abilities. Jasmin the lead singer, guitarist and Jayrald the drummer has been playing together for the last 6 months. Jasmin attends Kapolei Middle and Jayrald goes to Farrington High School. Jasmin and Jayrald represent the “J” in JP Band.
The “P” stands for the boys of Po’okela – Austin on ‘ukuele, Anthony on lead guitar, and Gavin on bass. Po’okela has been playing together for the past 2 years and all boys attend Wai’anae High School.
Both bands have been performing at various gigs and events throughout the island. Together, the JP Band has just been playing for about a month now and is happy to be chosen to be part of the Oahu preliminary rounds.
