Violet Eclipse - Honokaa High School

While Violet Eclipse is a relatively new band, the members have been playing together in their High School Music Program for several years. All the members cite their parents and Mr. Gary Washburn, their Honokaa High Music Instructor, as the ones who influenced their musical pursuits.
Their mentors include Jonny Dubowsky of Jonny Lives and George Nixon former tour drummer for Bonnie Raitt and Charlie Musselwhite, both who currently reside in Honokaa. Their favorite bands and musicians are Van Halen, AC/DC, Avenged Sevenfold, Nonami, Derek Trucks, Sublime, Journey, Heart, jazz icons John Coltrane and Wes Montgomery, plus reggae legend Bob Marley. Violet Eclipse can be seen playing to live audiences through the Honokaa High School Music Program and most recently they performed at the Concert for Equality at the Honokaa People's Theater.
